Charity Yard Sale #2 Update

Good Juju pulled out all the stops for our last fundraising event. Enough cannot be said how much we have all banded together this year for all the projects we worked on. From the Boys & Girls Club cleaning to kick off the year and finishing it off with this sale shows how much we can do when we all plan and work with each other.

Saturday's moving went much faster than most of us thought it would. With the Taylor/Wolford family's help along with the participation of a few of our own Jujubees, the moving, loading, and unloading for the next day's sale was done by noon.

RELAY FOR LIFE 2010 is THIS WEEKEND!!!

ROYAL HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
Starts: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 at 10am
Ends: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24 at 10am
Good Juju is at Booth #1 (directly across from the main entrance)

If you plan on attending Relay for Life, please email us at havegoodjuju@gmail.com and let us know when you can commit to being there to walk the track if you have not done so already! Let’s have someone on the track for all 24 hours!

We’ll be having a quick meeting on Saturday Night at 10pm to discuss some of our upcoming projects before the year ends:

EVENT: CALENDAR RELEASE PARTY

Since April 2010, Jujubees have been working tirelessly to create a fully-volunteer-produced calendar that will be sold for charity.

I am happy to announce that the calendar is finally completed, and we are ready to celebrate at our first-annual CALENDAR RELEASE PARTY this Saturday!

On September 25, 2010, Good Juju will open the doors of CIA (11334 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood) to out supporters and guests, revealing the finished calendar with much fanfare. Helping us celebrate are some amazing bands:

2010 CHARITY YARD SALE: A Mad-Crazy Success!!!

This last Sunday (Aug. 29, 2010) many of our Good Juju members showed up to set-up, hold/wave signs, and help with selling items at our first ever garage sale. Which, I am very pleased to say, was extremely rewarding and successful. It was a little cold in the early morning, but as soon as the sun broke some of the clouds away it warmed up and it became the perfect weather for our sale.

Much thanks has to go out to Alicia and her parents for hosting the fundraiser and providing us with bagels and drinks. And to JT's parents for bringing us all coffee and donating some furniture to sell.

Charity Yard Sale THIS SUNDAY!

Hey, Jujubees! Sam is coordinating our Charity Yard Sale THIS SUNDAY (August 29th), from 8am to 12pm!

We need volunteers to show up at 7am to help set up, and we'll need folks throughout the morning to wave signs (the city ordinances prevent us from tacking signs onto telephone poles, etc).

Do you have items you want to donate to the sale? We'll need "big ticket" items dropped off the night before, and smaller items to be dropped off the morning of the sale.
